Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Work every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required between campuses as needed
• Patient ratio approximately 1:6
• Specialty area: Inpatient rehabilitation with focus on neurological diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, stroke, aneurysm, post-op surgical care, and generalized debility
• Acute Care Rehab experience preferred

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in specialty
• No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry (MS/Tele) nursing experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
• Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Rehabilitation nursing experience

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card
• Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
• Transcript or diploma copy may be required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
• Physical exam (if applicable)
• Fit mask test (annual, specific approved N95 respirators required)
• Fingerprinting (if applicable for position)

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to strict punctuality and attendance policies
• Must complete all compliance documentation by deadlines prior to start date
• Must complete and pass the facility’s mandatory EKG exam
• Must be willing to float between campuses as needed
• Two supervisory references required, with at least one from an assignment within the last 12 months

Work Environment

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit specializing in neurological and acute care rehab patients
• Float between multiple campuses may be required
• Night shift schedule with weekend and holiday coverage
