Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg / Oncology (Days)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide and manage patient care within your nursing specialty. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

  • Work hours: 36-40 hours/week (OT billable after 40 hours) or 48 hours/week (OT billable after 48 hours)
  • Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
  • Orientation available on scheduled dates

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience (higher requirement applies)
  • Experience administering drips such as Heparin, PCA, epidural (required)
  • ACLS certification (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required; can be obtained during onboarding)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • License verification
  • Work history/resume
  • Copy of required certifications
  • One supervisory reference at time of submission
  • Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • High acuity care experience preferred
  • Chemotherapy administration experience (if certified)

Additional Information

  • Call back and holiday pay multipliers apply
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
