Job Opportunity: Pediatric CVOR Tech

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 5:15 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (Thursday off)
Call: 3-4 calls per month expected
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

• Position requires experience in Cardiovascular (CV) Pediatric Operating Room (OR) procedures.
• Must have Pediatric experience (strict requirement).
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
• Call schedule includes 3-4 calls per month.
• Shift schedule may be subject to change during interview.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of travel experience as a CVOR Technologist.
• At least 1 year of recent CVOR Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Pediatric patients.
• Must hold NBSTSA certification.

Certifications Required

• NBSTSA certification (mandatory for this role).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC only.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC only.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA or ARC only.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – AAP only (if applicable).
• Other certifications may be required depending on specific unit assignments.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including statewide, county, federal, and education verification within 60 days of start.
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Fit mask test (3M N-95 1860 or 1870+) within 1 year of start.
• Immunizations and proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for this facility)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30).
• Two recent professional references required.
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, steel gray for Surgical Techs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed.
• Photo badge required prior to start with strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no glasses glare, no hats/head coverings except for religious reasons).
• Must submit Return to Office (RTO) documentation at time of application; late submissions will not be accepted.
• Facility-specific questionnaires and fit tests may be required prior to start.

This position is ideal for a Pediatric CVOR Tech with solid pediatric surgical experience, NBSTSA certification, and the ability to commit to a travel contract in Tennessee.
