Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Fresno, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Day shift
• Possible shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• On-call requirement: One weekend per month

Job Description

Provide physical therapy assistance under supervision, supporting patient care and rehabilitation activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Candidates must provide documentation and complete the following prior to start:

• Drug screening (10-panel) completed within 30 days of start date (no THC).
• Proof of immunizations and vaccinations including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine (booster required by Sept 2025 or approved exemption)
  • MMR (2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (at least first dose prior to start)
  • Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (valid for upcoming flu season)
  • Varicella vaccination or IgG titer
  • Tdap vaccine (current, non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening
• Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year).
• Fit test for respiratory protection.

Professional and Background Checks

• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years.
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
• Various compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest disclosure, and system access forms.
• Screening against exclusion lists (OIG, EPLS, NSO).
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
• CORE exam within the last year.

Additional Notes

• All required documents must be uploaded and verified according to agency and state guidelines.
• Compliance with all health and safety protocols is mandatory.
• Weekend call is required once per month.
