Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient (Days)
Location: Springfield, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for patients with various diagnoses such as post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance, and vertigo issues.
- Patient caseload typically 8 patients/day Monday-Thursday, 6 patients on Friday.
- Work includes orthopaedic and sports injuries, gait and balance training, fractures, sprains, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, neurological disorders (stroke, Parkinson’s), bone and joint diseases, hand injuries, workplace injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Must be flexible to work inpatient physical therapy as needed.
- Outpatient clinics closed for major holidays.
- Requests for time off must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days off allowed during assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapy experience (new graduates will not be considered).
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Previous rehabilitation experience required.
- Must be able to treat all typical outpatient diagnoses.
- Valid Physical Therapy license for New Hampshire or compact license required and must be uploaded with profile.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available).
- Updated CAQH and NPI must be provided after start.
- Work history and skills checklist relevant to Physical Therapy current to within 1 year required.
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with CPSI EMR highly preferred.
- Previous experience working with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) preferred.
Additional Information
- This is a small community setting without public transportation; personal vehicle is mandatory.
- All scheduling requests and time off must be included at submission; no changes allowed after offer.
- Non-billable orientation hours: 0.
- Holiday and call-back pay multipliers apply as per assignment terms.
