Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position requires experience as an Electrophysiology (EP) Tech with Cath Lab experience.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 4 days of 10-hour shifts per week (subject to change during interview)
- On-Call: Yes, some on-call required
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block schedule accommodation: No
- Local candidates within 50-mile radius are not accepted
- Pending licenses are not accepted; all travelers must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required (first-timers accepted only if they have completed at least one travel contract)
Required Qualifications
- Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Completion of 1 or more prior travel assignments
- Valid professional license as applicable for Electrophysiology Tech role
- Driver’s license must be included with submission
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Other certifications may be required depending on specific duties (e.g., Cath Lab competencies)
Additional Requirements
- Background check within 60 days of start, including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit mask test (3M N-95 1860 or 1870+), tested within 1 year of start and passed without limitations
- Immunizations and health documents required, including proof of vaccinations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluations may be required if applicable
Work Environment
- Short Term Acute Care facility
- Level I Trauma Center
- Strict dress code: No prints or embroidered scrubs; specific scrub colors required by role
- Photo badge required prior to start with strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no hats, no glasses glare, no facial piercings)
Notes
- Locals within 50 miles are not accepted for this travel contract
- All documentation and compliance must be complete prior to start; no exceptions for pending items
- Candidates must be fully compliant with all licensing and credentialing requirements at time of submission
