Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Telemetry nursing position requiring every other weekend availability.
- 36 to 48 hour shifts acceptable.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
Professional Documentation
- Resume/Profile submission required.
- At least two professional references required.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start.
- Employment verification for the past seven years.
- Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
- Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation.
Health & Safety
- Completed health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted.
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA testing with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire if positive.
- Fit test for respiratory protection required, preferably completed prior to start.
- 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
Training & Competency
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics, with a minimum passing score of 80%.
- Completion of unit-specific checklist (optional but recommended).
- Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation.
- Completion of onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding.
- Completion of Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules.
- Skills checklist for clinical specialty completed within one year of start and updated annually.
Additional Requirements
- Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background, no alterations.
- Driver’s license or state ID must be current and match address on file.
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Every other weekend required.
- Shift length: 36 to 48 hours acceptable.
This position is suitable for registered nurses with telemetry experience seeking a long-term assignment in Florida. Compliance with all licensure, certification, health, and onboarding requirements is mandatory prior to assignment start.
