Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Johnson City, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & On-Call Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Rotating day off
• On call every 3rd weekend and 1 weekday (approximately 8 days/month)
• On-call response time: must clock in within 30 minutes (strictly monitored)

Job Description

• Must have thorough C-arm and sterile procedural knowledge in peripheral cases
• Highly preferred neuro experience
• Required skills include neuro interventional (stroke) procedures, PE thrombectomy/lysis, and trauma bleed embolization (emergent on-call procedures)
• Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable training, starting on Mondays (online CBLs)
• Schedule flexibility: hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes; additional shifts may be available as overtime

Required Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Thorough C-arm knowledge
• Sterile procedural knowledge in peripheral cases

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years

  • Immunizations and titers: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
• Respirator medical evaluation and fit testing onsite
• Photo for badge within 48 hours of contract signing
• Annual safety manual acknowledgement
• References: minimum 2 preferred, 3 ideal
• Skills checklist required

Additional Notes

• Must be able to complete compliance documents by the deadline to start on a Monday
• Hospital may adjust shifts based on census without financial penalty
• Orientation includes online and possibly onsite components
• Strict adherence to on-call response times and procedural competencies expected
