Description

Cath Lab Technologist - Omaha, Nebraska

Job Details

  • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour days plus call)
  • Call Requirements:
    • 1-2 weeknights per week
    • 1 weekend per month
    • Rotating holidays
    • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • Floating: Yes, may float to other campuses as needed
  • Orientation: 1-3 days per campus (3 campuses total)

Required Certifications

  • ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI
  • BLS (AHA)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience (including left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, pacemaker)
  • Prior travel experience is not required but preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist MD in cath lab procedures (scrubbing)
  • Monitoring and documentation during cases
  • Work with patients diagnosed with CAD, AMI (inpatient and outpatient adults)
  • Use of EMR and equipment including EPIC, Siemens cath, Siemens sensis, Apollo, Phillips IVUS

Work Environment & Policies

  • 1 cath lab suite with 1-3 cases per day on average
  • No clinical involvement outside cath lab duties
  • Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
  • Hospital-supplied scrubs required
  • Supervisor present in lab during shifts
  • Fixed daily schedule; limited self-scheduling for on-call shifts
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and live within 50 miles radius
  • Expected to live within 30 minutes of home campus for call coverage across three campuses

This position is ideal for a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience who is comfortable with a structured schedule, on-call duties, and working across multiple campuses.
