Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Clovis, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery specialty.
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
Certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster recommended; exemptions require approval.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Proof of 2 immunizations, positive IGG titer, or booster/declination accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations and positive antibody titer, or booster/declination accepted.
- Influenza vaccine required seasonally (October–March) unless exempted.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test: Negative result within 30 days of start, updated annually. If positive, additional documentation required.
- Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted.
- Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted.
- COVID test required on start date for clinical staff.
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Health statement signed within 1 year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions, updated annually.
- Drug screen (10-panel standard) within 30 days of start, updated annually. Retesting required if break in service >30 days.
- Skills checklist specific to clinical role completed within 1 year of start.
- Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including 7-year county, national, SSN trace, employment verification (5 years), and various federal/state exclusion lists; updated every 3 years or with breaks in service >90 days.
- Manual searches for OIG, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender, and state healthcare exclusion lists within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID required.
- Professional references: Minimum 2, including at least 1 supervisory.
- Resume/profile submission required.
- Various signed acknowledgments and agreements related to policies, confidentiality, dispute resolution, and assignment confirmation.
- Badge photo with neutral background and no facial jewelry required.
Notes
- Fit testing will be completed onsite on start date.
- Some optional documents and tests may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding.
- All verifications and documentation must be current and compliant with facility and state requirements.
