Description

Job Opportunity: Home Health Physical Therapist

Location: Dickinson, North Dakota
Specialty: Home Health - Physical Therapy
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Key Requirements

  • Current BLS certification
  • North Dakota Physical Therapy License
  • Current Driver's License and Auto Insurance required
  • Candidates must not have worked full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI or Dignity) in the past 12 months
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Preferred experience: Home Health and OASIS training
  • At least one year of experience preferred, but new grads may be considered with additional orientation

Job Details

  • Role involves start of care, recertifications, and resumption of care visits
  • Typical workload: 5-6 visits per day (fewer on admission days)
  • Majority of work is Home Health; occasional Hospice visits for safety evaluation or teaching (1-time visit)
  • No clinical involvement in management (manager interview only)
  • No weekend or holiday shifts; Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • No call requirements or holiday rotations
  • Scrub colors allowed: Black, Navy Blue, or Grey

Orientation & Support

  • Orientation with a preceptor for 1-2 weeks
  • Access to physical therapists in sister agencies for support
  • Clinical Coordinator and Director available for questions

Additional Information

  • Patient population includes all ages, mostly adults; pediatric cases are rare
  • No Home Health Aides or PTAs staffed at this time

This position offers a structured schedule with no weekends or holidays, supportive orientation, and a focus on home health physical therapy with some hospice involvement.
