Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - OR Specialty
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a large acute care hospital with 25 OR suites and 75 to 100 cases per day. The role involves circulating nursing duties including sterile prepping, catheter insertion, opening sterile supplies, patient positioning, documentation in electronic records, and operating room equipment setup and use.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
- BLS Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in a large hospital (250+ beds) with Level 1 trauma status
- Experience with surgical robotics
- Experience in Neurology
- Experience in Orthopedic Surgery
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shift: 8 to 10 hour days with rotating call shifts
- Call: 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weekends
- May require staying late beyond shift hours (not considered call back)
- Rotating PM shifts in rotation with staff
- Possible rare floating to other campuses/units
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:1
- Scrub color provided (Ceil Blue)
Additional Information
- Must not live within 60 miles of the facility (travelers within 60-80 miles considered local with adjusted pay)
- Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
Equipment & Systems Used
- Electronic charting modeled after EPIC system
- Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic and arthroscopy equipment
- Stealth navigation system for Neuro cases
