Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lakin, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Must have at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience.
- Will float to Medical-Surgical and Emergency Room units as needed.
- Floating duties may include assisting with skilled swing bed patients, medical patients, or ER patients, either as a helper or with assigned patients.
- Every other weekend required.
- Block scheduling allowed.
- Locals accepted; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Start date: ASAP.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
