ICU Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Mount Vernon, Ohio
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• ICU night shift position requiring critical care nursing skills.
• 2 years of ICU experience preferred; minimum 1 year required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but not required for ICU.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred but not required for ER.
• STABLE certification preferred for Labor/Delivery/Postpartum units (not required for ICU).

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including:

  • Medication Management (Range Orders and Medication Administration)
  • Professionalism and Appearance Policy
  • Onboarding Information
• Photo required for facility ID badge.
• For Home Health travelers (not applicable here), valid state driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Flu vaccination required for the flu season (10/1 – 3/31) with a hard cut-off date for working candidates; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility forms and mask requirement.

Work Environment

• ICU night shift with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Travel/contract position in Ohio.

Prior Travel Experience
