Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Port St Lucie, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Technician with experience in Cardiac Cath and at least two of the following modalities: Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro. Candidates must have this experience clearly reflected in their work history.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 10-hour shifts
• Call: Required on a case-by-case basis, no set schedule
• Weekend: Can be discussed with manager
• Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs, including floating to three nearby hospitals within 20 miles
• Block schedule: Not accommodated

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
• Experience in Vascular technology
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
• National certification verification required within 30 days of start
• State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start (Florida Radiographer license and ARRT for Interventional Radiology techs)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required and must be current
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations/vaccinations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (vaccines or positive titers)
• Seasonal influenza vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation)
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no medical marijuana accepted)
• Completion of online training modules prior to start (high priority, must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Submission of all requested time-off (RTO) upfront with application; late RTO submissions likely not approved
• 2 professional references required within 2 years of start date
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Adherence to facility privacy policies and acknowledgment of safety manuals required

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be aware of time-sensitive training modules that must be prioritized once confirmed for assignment
• Floating to sister facilities within 20 miles is mandatory
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
