Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray (Night Shift)
Location
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type
- Temporary contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift
- 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
Job Description
- Average of 100 patient scans per day across all technologists
- Strong operating room competency and experience required
- Equipment experience required/preferred:
- Required: Phillips diagnostic equipment, GE OEC C-arm
- Preferred: Carestream portable equipment, Fluoro experience
- Highly preferred: Siemens Cysto equipment
- EMR system: EPIC
- Orientation provided (starting 6/15)
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed candidates may apply but must obtain license upon acceptance
- Valid driver’s license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Skills checklist specific to X-Ray discipline required
- Professional reference or performance evaluation from within the last 24 months preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers welcome (no prior travel experience required)
- Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the hospital system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months
