Description

Job Opportunity: RRT-NICU (Respiratory Therapist - NICU)

Location: Durham, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Position requires a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience.
  • Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
  • Schedule includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block.
  • Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with neonate patients
  • Experience working with pediatric patients
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are considered.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Candidates must complete all required documentation and clearances before starting.
  • Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card training may be provided onsite if not already held.

This position is ideal for experienced respiratory therapists with strong NICU and pediatric critical care backgrounds seeking a travel contract opportunity on night shifts.
