Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Watertown, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating (7a-3p / 11a-7:30p)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Provide quality patient care in the Operating Room (OR) setting.
Utilize knowledge of nursing principles and clinical equipment to maintain a safe and aseptic environment.
Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
Recognize and address safety issues for self and others, including safe patient handling using lifts.
Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate leadership abilities, including prioritizing, delegating, and potentially serving as charge nurse.
Interpret lethal dysrhythmias.
Participate in on-call rotation with a response time of 30 minutes.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Proficient in interpreting lethal dysrhythmias.

Additional Information

Must be able to work within a 100-mile radius.
Rotating shifts require flexibility and adaptability.
