Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Macon, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit & Schedule Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Call: 12-15 days in a 6-week schedule, including a minimum of 2 weekends
• Floating: Within facility and scope of practice, including Main OR and another hospital as needed
• Weekend: Included in call requirements only
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (up to 2 holidays required)
• Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
• RTO (Return to Office) policy: Maximum 7 days

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• CVOR experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check required within 30 days of start, including multiple county and national searches, education verification, and must be complete prior to start
• Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)
• Physical exam required within 12 months of start (agency requirement)
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months of start; if past positive, additional documentation required
• TB Questionnaire required annually for all candidates
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented:

  • Rubeola (Measles): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Highly recommended but not required; preferred for privileging specialties
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
• Two clinical references required by agency (not client)
• Skills checklist updated within 12 months, verified annually
• Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)

• Locals accepted at same rate
• Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
• Manager review of candidate profile within 48 hours after confirmation to determine fit for unit/schedule/expertise
