Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Towson, Maryland
Shift: Days
Hours per day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide physical therapy services under general supervision by evaluating patient needs, setting goals, and developing treatment plans in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Treat multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk patient population.
  • Participate in team and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Utilize appropriate therapeutic interventions and demonstrate proficiency in standardized tests to support documentation.
  • Manage caseload efficiently according to productivity standards.
  • Proficient in treating at least two high-risk patient populations per hour.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) navigation required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ years of current Physical Therapy experience.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Active Maryland Physical Therapist license.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted).
  • Acute care experience is highly preferred.

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

  • Resume/Work History.
  • Skills Checklist specific to Physical Therapy discipline.
  • Two supervisory references: one from the last 6 months and one from the last 12 months.
  • Facility-specific cover page (provided if not available).

Additional Information

  • Candidates may request time off equivalent to one week of contracted hours during the assignment.
  • Overtime pay applies after 48 hours worked.
  • The facility is a 257 licensed bed acute and sub-acute care center with a high volume of admissions and emergency visits.
  • The position involves working in a multidisciplinary environment with access to various medical office buildings and community care locations.
