Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient Clinic

Location

  • Monterey, California
  • Outpatient clinic at a wellness center

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 8-hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Therapists do not schedule their own patients
  • Clinic closed on most major holidays; may be open on minor holidays
  • No weekend requirements

Patient Population & Caseload

  • Average 8-12 patients treated per day (typically around 10)
  • Usually 1 evaluation per day, but may vary
  • Mostly orthopedic patients with occasional higher-level neurological cases

Job Duties & Skills

  • Proficient computer skills required
  • Knowledge of EPIC EMR helpful but not required (training provided)
  • Pelvic floor experience is a plus
  • Assistance available from rehab aides and a PTA on staff

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Other vaccination and certification requirements handled by HR

Facility Policies

  • Nicotine-free facility: negative drug test for nicotine/cotinine required; positive results without legitimate medical reason may result in contract cancellation

Dress Code

  • Teal scrubs preferred; business uniform also acceptable

Orientation & Training

  • Department-specific orientation covering clinic policies and EPIC EMR training

Note: This position is for a Physical Therapist specializing in outpatient care with orthopedic and some neurological patients.
