Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Patient Population

• Adults to Geriatrics

Unit & Work Environment

• Medical Surgical/Renal/Bariatrics unit
• Provides care for general medical and surgical needs, renal, and bariatric surgery services
• Telemetry services available on unit
• 33 beds with an average daily census of 20
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Shift Details

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 to 7:15)
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, within facility and to sister campus as needed (within scope of practice)
• Call: None
• Holidays: Required to work major holidays during assignment (see below)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation & Compliance

• Return to orientation (RTO) maximum: 7 days
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 12 weeks = 12 hours)
• Full compliance with all requirements needed to start on time; delays may push start date by 2 weeks
• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

• Locals accepted at same rate
• Aya offer contingent on clinical pass and meeting facility requirements within RTO guidelines
• Floating may include sister campus within scope of practice
• No call requirements
• Must work major holidays as outlined depending on number of holidays during assignment
