Location: Rockford, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (8-hour shift)
Job Description
- Provide inpatient occupational therapy across all hospital floors; no floor-specific assignments.
- Primary therapist for post-operative patients including spine surgeries, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), rotator cuff repairs, and mastectomies.
- Manage CABG patients typically in the ICU on post-operative day 1.
- Collaborate with physical therapy for anterior total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients; primarily treat posterior hip surgeries.
- Provide consults for a variety of conditions including amputations, pneumonia (PNA), diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), sepsis, and various cardiac conditions.
- Required to work one weekend day every 4 weeks with flexible scheduling during that week.
- Must work on July 4th holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
