Job Description

  • Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
  • Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
  • Patients/scans per day: approximately 4
  • Equipment used: Artis Zee c-arm, Impella, IABP, Acist Injector
  • Types of procedures: peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, pacemaker procedures
  • Hospital provides light blue scrubs
  • EMR system: EPIC
  • Orientation dates available: June 1 and June 8

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers)
  • Proficient with fluoroscopy
  • Comfortable and proficient in peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required
  • Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Driver’s license required
  • Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath discipline required
  • Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred
  • Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed applicants may apply but must obtain license upon offer acceptance

Additional Information

  • Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months unless they were travel employees (not full-time or PRN)
  • Call back pay and on-call pay available (details not included here)
