Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient Neuro and Ortho Rehab

Location: Monterey, California
Setting: Outpatient clinic affiliated with a hospital, coastal California area
Contract Length: 20 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide outpatient physical therapy services specializing in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work independently from day one.
  • Treat common diagnoses related to neuro and ortho rehab cases.
  • Work in a facility with 5 treatment bays and 3 private rooms.
  • Use Epic electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate with 2 rehab aides.
  • Business attire with lab coat required.
  • 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch.
  • No weekend, holiday, or floating requirements.
  • One floor-specific orientation provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Must pass drug screening with negative nicotine/cotinine results unless prescribed nicotine replacement therapy.

Additional Information

  • Facility is nicotine-free; positive nicotine/cotinine tests without legitimate reason may result in contract cancellation.
  • No charge nurse, IV team, respiratory therapy, or pharmacy support on site.
  • No ventilators or hospitalists/intensivists in-house.
  • No holiday or weekend shifts required.

Schedule

  • Dayshift only
  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays
