Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry Cardiac Unit
Location: Dothan, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Unit & Patient Care Details
- Work on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Cardiac unit
- Patient ratio: 1:6 or 1:7
- Cardiac drip experience required, including medications: Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Block scheduling allowed; every other week (EOW) scheduling is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Cardiac drip experience

Orientation & Training
- 16 hours of non-billable orientation required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Must bring a valid Driver’s License on the first day; name on license must match RN license exactly
- Social Security Card or confirmation of last four digits required
- E-Verify attestation confirming work eligibility in the US required
- Background checks required within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked
- SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Facis Level 3, Sex Offender, Education Verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated for every contract renewal
- Shirley’s Law APS Clearance Form and results required prior to orientation (time sensitive)
- NURSYS license verification required; proof of license renewal before start if license expires during assignment
- Core competency exams (Core Exams I-III from Prophecy preferred) or HIPAA attestation required
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Fit mask test (specific approved masks) required annually before start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant/rapid tests not accepted)
- Immunizations or titers required for: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (with booster or declination as applicable)
- TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Proof of 2 clinical references within the last 12 months (may extend to 18 months if necessary)
- Complete employment application/resume required
- Preferred name for badge must be confirmed prior to start
- Passport-style photo with light background required within 72 hours of signing; no nose rings allowed in photo
