Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Assess physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients within the assigned unit.
- Plan and implement nursing care to meet patient needs.
- Lead and oversee subordinate personnel to ensure nursing care plans are executed.
- Conduct patient evaluations, document patient progress, and participate in treatment planning and discharge functions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience.
- Open-heart surgery experience required.
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (agency IL nursing license must be included with submission).
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations are mandatory; declinations will not be approved.
- Submission must include: resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), 2 supervisory references, active certifications, active license, and COVID vaccination status.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
- Experience in thoracic, vascular, and interventional nursing.

- Located approximately 36 miles southwest of Chicago, offering a small-town environment with access to a major city.
