Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Cartersville, Georgia

Job Details

Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Hours per week: 36
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
Call: None
Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
Block schedule requests: Not allowed
Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- If 1 holiday falls, work it; if 2 holidays fall, work both; if 3 holidays fall, work 2 of them
Orientation: Non-billable orientation hours based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
RTO (Return to Office) Policy: Maximum 7 days to start after offer acceptance
Locals accepted at same rate

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Policies

Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; failure to comply results in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
Candidates must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

Additional Notes

Aya offers a 48-hour manager review period after candidate confirmation to ensure fit for unit, schedule, and expertise
No clinical remediation allowed for competency exams, but WorkRamp remediation is permitted before final attempt
Candidates unable to pass Dysrhythmia/EKG exam after 3 attempts will be cancelled
Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by contract length
Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
