Description

Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Laconia, New Hampshire
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7p-7a)
Hours per Week: 36 (with 36-hour guarantee)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Night shift schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM on weekdays with every other weekend coverage
  • Floating required to ED, Stepdown, and Med Surg units with modified assignments (not limited to ICU holds)
  • Equipment experience needed: balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun or TTM management, Alaris pumps, rapid infuser
  • EMR experience with Cerner preferred but not required

Required Qualifications

  • Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license at time of submission
  • 2 to 3 years of ICU experience (strong candidates closer to 2 years must be self-starters with a variety of care experience and ability to work independently and quickly)
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • References: 2 recent specialty charge nurse or manager references
  • Skills checklist matching ICU specialty
  • Driver’s license with address matching demographic requirements
  • Return to Office (RTO) availability must be included at time of submission

Preferred Qualifications

  • CVICU experience (highlight on resume if applicable)
  • Additional certifications: TNCC, PALS, CCRN

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Local candidates within 50 miles preferred (local rate applies)
  • Cannot approve RTO for 4th of July weekend

Summary

This ICU RN role requires a minimum of 2 years ICU experience with preference for CVICU skills, night shift availability, and flexibility to float to other units. Candidates must hold an active NH or Compact RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications. Prior travel experience is not accepted for first-time travelers.
