Description

Sonographer (Echo) – Temp Position

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Shift: Days
Hours per day: 8
Contract length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Perform approximately 7-8 scans per day.
  • Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
  • Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
  • Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer experience.
  • Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract.
  • Active Iowa license at time of submission.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Skills checklist specific to Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer discipline.
  • Preferred: Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months.

Additional Information

  • Night and weekend call-back and on-call pay multipliers apply (details not included here).
  • May be asked to float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
