Respiratory Therapist Tech - Night Shift

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support.
• Perform physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care.
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.
• Utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport ventilators.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
• No guarantee of hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Hawaii
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required: BLS, PALS, ACLS

Additional Requirements

• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required before contract start. Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday.

Notes

• This position involves working with multiple patient age groups including adult, pediatric, and neonatal.
• Experience with specific ventilator models and computerized medication management systems is necessary.
