ICU RN Job Opportunity

Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses.
  • Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
  • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per standard protocols, documenting accordingly.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
  • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
  • Complete patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
  • Floating between departments or local locations within a 20-mile radius is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Current specialty experience: Minimum 2 years as an ICU Registered Nurse.
  • Prior travel experience: At least one previous travel assignment of 13 weeks or longer is required.
  • Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite before starting the assignment. One retest opportunity allowed; failure to pass after retest results in contract cancellation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred; on-site training available.
