Registered Nurse - Acute Care (MedSurg)
Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Job Details
- Unit Type: Acute Care MedSurg (44 beds, 40 staff)
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5 (may be 1:6 for days and nights)
- Nurse Aides/CNAs ratio: 1:8 to 1:10, also used as sitters
- Floating: Required to float to all acute care and cardiology units, including emergency care for acute patient holds
- Telemetry: Yes, but monitored on a different unit
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute Care MedSurg specialty
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS certification required (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia
- Strict 75-mile radius from the address on the traveler's driver’s license to the hospital
Orientation
- General Orientation: 1 week (includes EMR training)
- Floor-Specific Orientation: 2 days
- EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
