Job Details

• Schedule: Every other weekend and any holiday that falls on a regularly scheduled shift
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Medical/Surgical experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Professional Documentation

• Resume/Profile required for submission
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Signed assignment agreement required for onboarding
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others completed within 30 days of assignment start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
• Employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
• Education verification relevant to clinical work completed within 90 days of start; must be rerun after breaks in service longer than 90 days

Health & Immunizations

• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Health statement or physical exam completed prior to first assignment and updated annually
• Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Documentation of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite; updated annually)
• 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for tuberculosis within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
• Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required after breaks in service longer than 90 days

Training & Competency

• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within one year and updated every 3 years; minimum passing score 80% with only two attempts allowed
• Passing score of at least 80% on Ascension EKG exam; updated every 3 years
• Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation prior to start
• Completion of Ascension onboarding education attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
• Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules for non-allied positions
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite
• Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty completed within one year and updated annually

• Confirmation of assignment documentation with accurate start and end dates
• Name change documentation if applicable
