Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or ICU with IR experience
- Active Arizona RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification preferred if possible
- Level I Trauma experience required
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Radiology Pre and Post Procedural areas, including pre-op and PACU
- Care for patients post conscious sedation and general anesthesia
- Manage outpatient and inpatient populations, including critical care and telemetry patients
- No neuro endovascular area assignments; focus on body IR cases only
- Charge nurse responsibilities included
- No on-call duties required
Work Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Shift times: either 07:00–17:30 or 07:30–18:00, based on need
- Occasional Saturdays (1-2 per month) and possible holiday coverage
- 36 hours per week with one weekday off
- Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
Clinical Environment & Equipment
- 5 Angio rooms, 2 CT scanners, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine
- Cases include chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tubes, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT biopsies, ablations, ultrasound biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, neuro endovascular stroke treatment (not assigned to RN)
- Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
- Support from IR techs, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound techs
- Ventilator and telemetry monitoring available
- In-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage
- 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support
- IV access teams available for PICC lines and difficult starts
- Scrubs provided
