Radiologic Technologist (Xray Tech) - California
Job Details
- Location: Bakersfield, CA
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
- Department has 2 scanners/rooms
- Average scans per day: ~100
- Imaging types: Brain, MRCP, Abdomen, Pelvis, Extremities
- Equipment used: GE & Toshiba scanners
- Software: Radnet & Merge Unity (EMR/PACS)
- Scrub color: Teal (provided)
- Orientation: Minimum one week, conducted by lead technologist
- Floating: May be required to float to a nearby facility (~6.5 miles away)
- Weekend: Every other weekend required
- Holidays: Required to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- Call: Rotating call with 30-minute response time
- Radiologist: In-house support available
- Registered Radiology Assistants: Not used
- IV starts: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Xray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
- Certifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA standard)
Additional Notes
- Lead technologist supervises the department
- Must be able to cover multiple imaging types and potentially float to another location
