Respiratory Therapist Travel Job – Washington, Silverdale

Job Details

  • Position: Respiratory Therapist
  • Location: Silverdale, Washington
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36 (3 shifts of 12 hours)
  • Work Setting: Inpatient
  • Patient Population: Mostly adults, some pediatrics through the Emergency Department
  • Typical Caseload: Approximately 25 treatments per day
  • Team: 4+ RTs on night shift; lead therapist present every shift
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • Holiday Requirement: One holiday required
  • Call or Standby: None

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and either RRT or CRT
  • Must have NICU experience and be competent with Level 2 nursery care (bubble CPAP for infants 32 weeks and up)
  • Strong ventilator skills required

Job Responsibilities

  • Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Set up and manage BiPAP and ventilators (equipment includes PB 980, Philips V60, Respironics Lumis)
  • Administer nebulizer treatments
  • Provide standby support for conscious sedation and cardioversion
  • Assist with intubations (not independently perform)

Additional Information

  • Department-specific orientation provided
  • Dress code: personal scrubs, any color
  • 24/7 hospitalist or intensivist coverage available
  • No floating or call response required
