Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days)

Location: Charlevoix, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12


Job Description

  • Work under direct supervision or direction of department manager/director, charge nurse, or staff nurse/team leader.
  • Assist staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients following established hospital methods and procedures.
  • Provide care that contributes positively to the patient and family experience, demonstrating understanding of patient- and family-centered care.
  • Strict attendance policy:
    • Three absences or being more than 20 minutes late for scheduled shifts will result in immediate termination.
    • Exceptions considered for communicable diseases or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
    • Policy effective starting 6/1/2024.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Long Term Care (LTC).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Michigan LTC fingerprinting is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

  • This position involves 12-hour shifts.
  • Local travel policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility.
  • Overtime, holiday, and callback shifts are compensated at 1.1 times the regular rate.
  • Initial nonbillable hours: 12 hours.
  • Extension discount applies to initial contract extension.
