Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity
Location: Redding, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Occupational Therapy
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Work every 3rd weekend
- Holidays: Participate in permanent staff rotation for all modalities
- Floating: No floating required
- Orientation: 8 hours of floor-specific orientation for all modalities
- EMR System: Cerner
Work Environment
- Unit: Rehabilitation (PT, OT, & Speech)
- Dress Code: Polo style or button-down long sleeve burgundy shirt (provided if wanted), dark solid pants; no scrubs allowed
- Hospitalist/Intensivist: On-site 24/7
- Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
- Pharmacy: Available 24/7
- IV Team: Not available
- Support Staff: PT aides available (1 on Sunday-Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday-Saturday)
- Charge Nurse: Manager available on days (Monday-Friday)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
- Active California Occupational Therapy license
- BLS Certification
- COVID-19 vaccination required
Additional Information
- Open to first-time travel therapists
- Work schedule averages 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts every other weekend (EOW)
