Job Opportunity: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Mesquite, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Job Description
- Operate mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Perform venipuncture and start IVs for contrast injections.
- Apply extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Comply with State and Federal regulations related to radiology.
- Utilize proficient computer skills.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Texas.
- At least 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year.
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) certification.
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Venipuncture certification.
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Up-to-date resume reflecting recent work history.
- Two professional references, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor.
- Driver’s license or valid state ID.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date (state-specific exceptions apply).
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Completion of agency attestation and exclusion list searches.
- Completion of specialty and core competencies exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Annual respirator fit test.
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC) within 60 days of start.
- Annual color-blind test.
- Immunization and health requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination series plus booster or documented declination.
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer).
- Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination).
- Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
- Tuberculosis test within one year of start date.
- Varicella vaccination or immunity titer.
- Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted in some states).
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation (optional).
