Job Opportunity: IMC Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Newnan, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit & Work Details
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
- Floating within facility to other acute care units as needed, within scope of practice
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Non-billable orientation hours proportional to contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) turnaround: 7 days
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements mandatory to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Prior travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
