Job Summary

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Critical Care Float)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Floating: Required primarily in ICU, but may float to Med-Surg (MS), MS Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 1:2-3
  • PCU: 1:4-5
  • MS / MS Telemetry: 1:5-6
• Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approximately 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
• Call: None
• Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (see below)
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days per contract; blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4-12)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience floating across multiple units, including ICU and related specialties
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Work Environment & Expectations

• Full compliance with all onboarding and credentialing requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week contract)
• Must review and sign facility-specific policies including Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
• Floating across multiple units is required, with ICU float as primary assignment
• Expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment period:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

• No call responsibilities
