Description

Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Call: One night per week from 2:30 PM to 6:00 AM next morning, plus every 5th weekend from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 6:00 AM
Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required (higher value applied)
Epic experience within the last 12 months is mandatory and must be explicitly documented in profile
Broad knowledge and competency in surgical cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, Impella insertion/removal, and Thoracic/Lung procedures

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
Skills checklist relevant to specialty
Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
References and documentation must be current and complete

Notes

Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
Prior travel experience is not required for this position

This role is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs with recent Epic experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Tennessee with a structured day shift and scheduled call responsibilities.
