Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Location: Dothan, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), block scheduling available
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Up to 1:6-7
- Must be proficient in IV drips including Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone
- No local candidates within 90 miles (radius rule applies)
- No prior permanent employment at this facility within the last 10 years
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proficiency with Cardizem (diltiazem) and Tridil drips
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License matching RN license name
- Social Security Card or last four digits for verification
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks (all within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS license verification and proof of license renewal before start if applicable
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (updated annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, plus TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (with boosters or declinations as applicable)
- Annual flu vaccination required for placements starting on or after September 15 (no declinations accepted except approved medical/religious exemptions with mask requirement)
- COVID vaccination is voluntary
- 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start (instant/rapid tests not accepted)
- Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (specific approved mask models only)
- Proof of 2 clinical references within last 12 months (up to 18 months if necessary)
- Completed employment application/resume and skills checklist updated annually
Additional Notes
- Candidate must provide a passport-style photo without facial piercings (e.g., no nose rings) within 72 hours of signing
- Preferred name for badge must be confirmed prior to start
- Facility will provide additional training modules for specialty areas such as ER, CCU, and Neuro ICU through Apex system
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility address to qualify
