Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Work 36-40 hours per week with billable overtime after 40 hours; can work up to 48 hours per week with billable overtime after 48 hours.
  • Use EPIC electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of previous step-down nursing experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
  • Work history/resume, license verification, copy of required certifications, and one supervisory reference required at time of submission.
  • Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Willingness to float to the Emergency Department (ED).
  • Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly (dates available upon request).
  • Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
  • Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
  • Call back pay with a minimum 2-hour call back.
  • Charge/preceptor pay available.

Notes for Candidates

  • This position requires flexibility to float within the same nursing discipline.
  • Prior travel experience is not required.
  • Must be able to meet all documentation and certification requirements before starting.
