Mammography Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Mooresville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Job Summary
- Perform mammography screenings, diagnostics, and related procedures.
- First-time travel technologists are welcome.
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Scrubs color: Wine.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist within the last year
- Certifications:
- ARRT Mammography (ARRT M)
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT R)
Required Documents & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID.
- Social Security Card (if used for I9 verification).
- Background checks including SSN trace, county, alias, nationwide, sex offender, international (if applicable), education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list search.
- Education verification confirming graduation from an accredited Radiologic Sciences program with an AAS or higher.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date.
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months.
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years, no exemptions)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination or positive antibody titers (no exemptions)
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (boosters required if low/equivocal)
- Seasonal flu vaccine (required annually, no exemptions)
- Polio vaccine or signed attestation
- Drug test: Negative 10-panel (including THC) within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
- Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor).
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually).
- Competency exam specific to unit required.
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing (except certain roles).
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy certifications as applicable per unit requirements (verify with recruiter).
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card may be required; training provided onsite if not held.
Orientation & Onboarding
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly.
- Must set up a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems.
- Online modules must be completed before orientation.
- Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date.
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted.
- No prior travel experience required.
- Candidate must be able to perform screenings, diagnostics, and procedures independently.
