Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Work in a unit based on greatest need: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry Acute Care.
• Must have 2 years of experience in PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care.
• Candidates with experience as Med-Surg or Stepdown RN are eligible (same credentialing).
• Flexibility to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

• Must submit a professional resume/profile and complete all credential verifications prior to assignment.
• Onboarding includes completion of multiple required modules and documentation uploads.
• Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leadership within one week of start.
• Must be able to work extended hours and float as needed within a 40-mile radius.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a strong background in step-down, telemetry, or med-surg acute care who are flexible and able to adapt to varying unit needs.
