Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical

Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit.
• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC), with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature.
• Background Checks:

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification and alias checks, dated within 30 days of start.
  • Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registries check within 30 days prior to start.
• Employment Eligibility Verification (I9) completed by agency.
• Education Verification: Highest academic degree or diploma/GED verified by third party screening.
• Exclusion Lists: EPLS, OIG, OFAC, NSO checks dated within 30 days of start, including all aliases.
• Trinity-specific forms and agreements:

  • Code of Conduct form.
  • Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement.
  • Integrity and Audit Services form.
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure form.
  • Non-Employee Upload form.
  • System Access form (completed and uploaded one week before start).
• Specialty Competency Testing: Specialty-specific competency exam completed within the last year.
• Skills Checklist: Provided by agency for clinical contractors.
• Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year.

• Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references required for submission.
• All documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.

This position requires a dedicated RN with Medical/Surgical experience, able to work night shifts on a long-term contract in Iowa, meeting comprehensive health, licensing, and compliance standards.
