Sonographer (General) - Temp Position

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary

Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical knowledge and skills in patient care and management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday.
• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Call back and on-call duties with additional compensation.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Sonographer experience.
• At least 1 prior travel contract completed.
• Minimum 24 months of recent experience as a General Sonographer / General Ultrasound Tech.
• Experience with Philips Epiq7 ultrasound machines, Change Healthcare PACS, and Trophon equipment.
• Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to General Sonographer / General Ultrasound Tech discipline.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.

Additional Information

• EMR system used: EPIC.
• OT and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Charge/precept and on-call pay available.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to floating within the discipline.
