Radiographer Position - Ohio, Elyria
Job Details
- Specialty: X-Ray Technologist (Radiographer)
- Location: Elyria, Ohio
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
- Work Setting: Hospital environment including outpatient, inpatient, Emergency Department, portable imaging, fluoroscopy, and surgery/OR.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts including 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 5:30 PM–1:00 AM, and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Includes every other weekend 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
- Orientation: Provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
Immunizations and Health Requirements
- Positive MMR titers within the last 15 years (booster protocol applies if low titer).
- Positive Varicella titers within the last 15 years (booster protocol applies if low titer).
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination form accepted.
- 2-Step TB test (PPD or IGRA) with negative results within the last 6 months; annual requirement.
- Fit test for approved respirators completed within 1 year prior to start.
- Physical/Health statement confirming ability to work without restrictions.
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required.
- Influenza vaccine proof required during flu season (October–March) or mask and declination forms completed.
Background and Verification Requirements
- Criminal background check within 6 months prior to start, including Social Security trace, county searches for last 7 years, national criminal and sex offender checks.
- Ohio fingerprinting and national FBI background check depending on residency duration in Ohio.
- OIG exclusion check within 6 months prior to start.
- SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months prior to start.
- Employment verification for the last 5 years through third-party.
- Education verification through third-party; international education requires equivalency documentation.
- I-9 attestation confirming eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Submission packet including resume, 2 professional references (within last 2 years), job application, and employment history form.
- Badge photo (headshot with plain background) required.
Competency and Skills
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (clinical skills specific to radiography).
- Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
- Core competencies exam (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance; annual renewal required.
Additional Notes
- Temporary licenses are not accepted; must have a valid permanent license.
- Orientation and training provided.
- Holidays may be included in the schedule.
- Instant drug screens are not accepted; drug screen must be lab-based and completed within 60 days prior to start.
- If there is a break in assignment greater than 60 days, a new drug screen and background check may be required.
